FSP Scum Skimmer
Features
-
Suction power by a jet pump system
The FSP incorporates a jet pump that utilises a part of pumped water for generation of the suction power. This provides a stable sucking process even if water, air, and floating solids are drawn in at the same time. These pumps are more efficient than conventional equivalents by collecting more scum and less supernatant.
-
Floating Mechanism
The floating mechanism keeps the relative positions between water surface and the intake level constant at all times.
-
Adjustable intake position
The intake level can be positioned between 0 and 60 millimetres below water surface.
-
Dual inside mechanical seal
The pump is furnished with a dual inside mechanical seal located completely in an oil chamber. This seal system does not rely on the pumped media for the lubrication and cooling, which increases the reliability of the sealing.
-
Anti-wicking cable entry
The pump has a rubber moulded anti wicking block at the cable entry section of the pump. This unique feature protects the motor from the ingress of water that may be caused by damage to the sheath of the cable.
-
Motor protection device
A circle thermal protector (CTP) is installed in its motor. It automatically stops the motor in case of an excessive heat build up in the motor caused by a blockage of impeller or by other overloading factors. The CTP not only senses excess heat build up, but will also sense excess amperage draw.
Applications
- Collection of floating scum at various type of sewage or wastewater treatment plants
- Collection of drainage of supernatant clean water
- Collection of suspended solids on water surface
